BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT A GREAT SUCCESS
Blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day, 59 men and women, young and older,
played in the 5th annual benefit Hope House golf tournament. Over $5,500.00
was raised to help in the day to day operations of the Hope House to continually
assist those of the area in need. The winning team consisted of Rod Wright, Rhett
Kalat, B. DeWalt and R. Henry who shot a total score of 58, 14 under par. The
format of the tournament was a 4-man scramble. We wish to thank all those
who came out to enjoy such a beautiful day on the golf course but more
importantly for the support their playing provides of the Hope House.
A special thanks to the Bear Creek Valley Golf Course for all their help
in the coordinating of this event.
Below are pictured Bill Messengill (standing) and Doug Miller.
Bill started this tournament 5 years ago and has been working since April
putting everything toghether. A special thanks also to Charlie Franke (not pictured).
